Lidio Poian and Lunar X-Prize Project

Since 2009 the Lidio Poian cooperate with Politecnico di Torino for providing the mechanical components and equipments of moon rover for D.I.A.N.A. team.

D.I.A.N.A. Team stands for “Ducti Ingenio Accipimus Naturam Astrorum”, is a group of student initiativeinside the Politecnico di Torino born in order to represent the university in the project A.M.A.L.I.A. Also agrees to become a permanent feature that can take up space robotics with constant and cyclic parts of staff students and with new future project.

With A.M.A.L.I.A. project joining, the D.I.A.N.A. Team undertakes to complete the implementation of the rover that will explore the Moon in the Google Lunar XPrize. This rover will be based on modularity, redundancy and, where possible, use standard components and materials for the purpose of killing costs, reuse of components between the different phases of design and flexibility for rapid solution of unforeseen problems.
